The content queue — approve the morning drop
Joe drafts every weekday morning after 7am. You read, approve, or reject; approved LinkedIn posts publish themselves at their slot.
Step by step
- 1
Open the morning drop
Drafts appear each weekday after 7am. Empty queue? Click "Run drop now" to generate today's drafts immediately, or "Plan a week (Instagram)" to design five posts with suggested times in one sitting.
- 2
Read a card
Each card shows the platform, the full draft, and a status badge (draft, approved, posted, failed). LinkedIn cards with a slot show "schedule for …" so you know exactly when they'd go out.
- 3
Approve — or approve + auto-publish
Click "Approve" to accept a draft. On LinkedIn cards with a scheduled slot the button reads "Approve + auto-publish": the post then publishes itself at that time with no further clicks. "Reject" hides a card; "Veto (cancel publish)" pulls an approved post back.
- 4
Post the manual platforms
For Instagram, click "Ready to post" — the caption copies and the image downloads in one click. Paste and post in the app, then click "Mark posted" so the record stays true.
- 5
Filter by brand
With more than one brand, pills above the list ("All brands" + each brand) narrow the queue to one voice at a time.
Tips
- ✓Approving costs nothing until a slot hits — "Veto (cancel publish)" works any time before the scheduled minute.
- ✓The Instagram banner walks the exact schedule flow: drag the image into instagram.com/create, paste, then pick the suggested date under Advanced settings.
- ✓A failed publish shows the error on the card with a "Retry publish" button — no digging.
What you'll actually see
- "Approve" does not publish instantly — LinkedIn posts wait for their scheduled slot (past-due ones go out about two minutes later); everything else unlocks the copy/download path.
- Instagram and the Joe experiment posts are manual by design: "Ready to post" copies the caption and downloads the image, and "Mark posted" is your honest bookkeeping click.
- The empty state is real: "Nothing in the queue yet. Joe drafts every weekday morning after 7am — or generate today's drafts right now."

This is the content queue — the two-minute morning job. It's just after 7am, so the drop already ran: here are today's drafts, written in my brand voice, per platform. Each card shows the full text and when it would publish. This LinkedIn one has a slot, so the button says "Approve + auto-publish" — one click, and it will post itself at 10:30 without me. This one I don't love — "Reject", gone. Instagram works differently, and the page is honest about it: I click "Ready to post", the caption copies and the image downloads in one click. I paste it in the Instagram app, then click "Mark posted" so the record stays true. If the queue's ever empty, "Run drop now" generates today's drafts on demand, and "Plan a week" designs five Instagram posts with suggested times in one sitting. Approve, reject, done — the queue refills itself tomorrow morning.
